artist biography
Tom was born and raised in The Netherlands. He currently lives and works in Greater Seattle, WA, USA.
Tom studied interior design and art in Rotterdam. During his studies he learned about Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. He loved his work. Today Mondrian is still his biggest inspiration.
For 23 years Tom has created high-quality modern art. For 40 years he has been a professional designer. His work has been sold by art galleries in Vancouver, BC, Canada, as well as directly to private and corporate collectors. His largest commission to date is called “Primarily Family”. It was installed in a client’s home at Big Horn Golf Club in Palm Desert, CA, USA and tells a wonderful story. His most recent commissions were sold to a private collector in Clyde Hill, WA, USA and an AC by Marriott Hotel in Seattle, WA, USA. His painting “New Life” was installed in the reception area of the Childbirth Center of Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA, USA. Some of his work has been installed aboard luxury motor yachts.

Currently 8 paintings are on display at Hotel Indigo in Everett, WA, USA. Another 11 paintings are on display at the prestigious and private Washington Athletic Club (WAC) in Seattle, WA, USA. This exhibition will run through January 31, 2025.
